The Truffle Shuffle Turns 30: Anniversary Celebration for The Goonies in Historic Astoria, Ore.
Fans Return to Filming Locations to Commemorate Cult Classic in 2015
WHAT:
|
During the four-day event, Goonies can tour iconic film locations, hit the lanes at “Chunk’s Bowling Alley,” attend quote-a-long film screenings, listen to on-set stories from Sloth’s stunt double, sip Truffle Shuffle Stout from local Fort George Brewery, join the Truffle Shuffle 5K and seek adventure on a Geocaching scavenger hunt. The VirtuaLUG builders group, all of whom are Adult Fans of LEGO (or AFOLs), recreated iconic scenes from The Goonies that will be on display. In the spirit of One Eyed Willie’s treasure-filled ship in the film, the tall ship Lady Washington will be offering tours and sails in Astoria during the celebration. The event is sponsored in part by KOA, Dark Horse Comics and Geocaching.
