For those that may not know part of Goonies was filmed in Astoria, OR. Mickey's house has become so iconic. It's changed some, but still immediately recognizable as the Goonies house and it attracts thousands of visitors. Astorian's couldn't be prouder. Accordingly, Astoria is host to Goonies Weekend which is in June every year, but really in Astoria every weekend is Goonies weekend. Many local shops stock Goonies merchandise much of which is exclusive. Make sure you check these shops out!! Stock will probably increase as we get closer to the event. It's a great way to support the film and our local economy.
